Michael Venetis has been in the homebuilding/real estate industry since…well, let’s just say since newspaper ads were still a thing, and the internet wasn’t. Wait a minute, who do I think I’m fooling–writing this bio in third person, as if you’re reading this, thinking that I must have my own copywriter working for me?. What kind of copywriter would hire a copywriter?! Anyway, I digress.
I started out in the homebuilding industry in sales. And I crushed it! But, the fact that I did well isn’t the impressive part. When I started my career, I was timid, and scared to talk to people. Generally speaking, those aren’t great traits to have as a salesperson. So, I read every sales book, listened to every tape, and went to every sales training event I could go to. And, I quickly became really good at what I did. But then, I wanted a new challenge.
I was offered the opportunity to join the executive team at a mid-sized homebuilder, who, during my tenure there, would be awarded Professional Builder Magazine’s National Builder of the Year. It was at that company where I figured out what I do best. My ability to think strategically and creatively, blended with my expert-level knowledge of how homebuyers decide how to buy homes, helped lay the foundation for me being able to help real estate agents, homebuilders and senior living communities increase sales velocity and profit margins through great marketing and sales training.
I attribute much of my success to the fact that I am a serial learner. Whether it be podcasts, videos, or the latest great book,I continue to be on the cutting edge of sales and marketing tricks and tactics. I’m the guy you want, to bring your company to the next level. It doesn’t have to be painful. In fact, what I can do for you will likely be the least intrusive things you can do to positively impact sales, without disrupting your current systems.
